JOB TITLE: Senior Software Engineer - Colleague Channels Platform
SALARY: £70,929 - £85,000
LOCATION: Manchester
HOURS: Full time
WORKING PATTERN: Hybrid, 40% (two days) in our Manchester office.

As a Senior Software Engineer in the Colleague Channels Platform, you'll play a key role in the future of LBG Desktop product development - contributing to the way we design, build, test and deploy using the latest technologies including Web, Data and AI. We're looking for customer centric, creative full stack developers to help shape the future and how we enable success for our colleagues and customers with best in class software and tools.
In this role, you'll lead way in shaping the direction of our software solutions, using your expertise to make impactful decisions and drive success. You'll collaborate closely with the team and product owner to ensure delivery excellence. What you'll need…
You'll be a seasoned Software Engineer, with:
- Full-stack experience and flexible enough to work on front end or back end tasks
- Experience and broad knowledge of modern design patterns (micro-frontend, microservice) using modern web technologies, especially JavaScript (Node.js and React.js) as well as RESTful APIs and WebServices.
- Experience of DevOps toolchains (Jenkins, Harness), container technologies (Kubernetes, Docker, Helm, Istio), and cloud technologies (GCP, OCP)
- A deep understanding of GIT, source code management and managing change into production
- Experience of agile development practices, continuous integration and test automation and how to delivery well maintainable and testable applications in critical environments
