Security Operations Engineer Role and Responsibilities:

As the businesses newest Security Operations Engineer, you will be a key figure in the SecOps team. Your focus will be on end-to-end vulnerability management across the internal core network environment, as well as being the main person to demonstrate these capabilities to external customers. You will be the focal point for all things security, working with internal and external stakeholders, technical teams, project, and product managers.

• End-to-end vulnerability management for internal core network and cloud environments.


• Identify, manage and assess new security strategies, not just across Microsoft and Fortinet.


• Demonstrate security capabilities to external customers.


• Be a key part in the development and growth of the companies SOC.


• SME across Fortinet, FortiAnalyser, Microsoft Defender, Sentinel, Qualys.

Skills and Experience required for the Security Operations Engineer:

• MUST be UK based.


• 5 years’ experience working in SOC and Cyber environments.


• End-to-end threat management, working with Microsoft Security and Fortinet ideally.


• Demonstrable experience in working with Microsoft Sentinel, Microsoft Defender, Fortinet, FortiGate, FortiAnalyser and FortiSIEM.


• Knowledge and understanding of ISO27001.


• Experience in working with customers, ability to demonstrate Cyber security solutions.
