Softcat's L&D team sits within a wider Human Resources department consisting of HR Services, HR Business Partners, Reward, Recruitment, Diversity & Inclusion and Employee Engagement. The purpose of the L&D team is to enable Softcat's success through learning by inspiring a culture of curiosity, growth, and continuous development. Become a pivotal part of the L&D team

This is an exciting time to join our sales L&D team. We are redefining how we develop sales capabilities, building upon our great foundations. We are looking at how we can continue to improve and deliver the very best enablement for our sales teams.

As a Learning & Development Consultant, you'll be responsible for:


  • Stakeholder Management: Identifying capability needs, priorities, and goals; providing upskilling solutions and managing stakeholder expectations
  • Programme Management: Overseeing upskilling initiatives from design to results; applying modern learning methods for impact
  • Coaching and Facilitation: Conducting 1-to-1 and group coaching in various settings; supporting the L&D team as needed
  • Partner Management: Building and maintaining key partner relationships
  • Strategic Projects: Representing L&D in strategic initiatives; driving objectives, solutions, and processes for successful outcomes


We'd love you to have:


  • Proven L&D experience in designing and delivering impactful learning, ideally in a sales environment
  • Strong collaboration skills to work with leadership to align L&D initiatives with business goals and priorities
  • Ability to measure learning impact using analytics, driving improvement and practical learner-centred solutions
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, delivering training both in-person and virtually
  • Ability to manage multiple projects effectively, ensuring timely, high-quality outcomes with a performance focus
  • Willingness to travel when needed, for stakeholder engagement and facilitation across the UK
