The Project:


This exciting position will serve as a Contracts Manager on a large EPC and/or EP CM delivery method project and will be located in Boulder Colorado Site or at any site location as designated by the Company.

You’ll Be Responsible For:



  • Managing interfaces with project management, procurement, engineering, construction, project controls, quality, HSE, finance, and joint venture partners.

  • Promoting a collaborative environment with open communication and serve as project member in the formulation of plans and the execution of the overall contract management activity and leads the effort in the planning, performs critical project contractor negotiations and execution of specialized contracts management functions.

  • Directing the development of all contracts management activities including, but not limited to, development overall project contracting strategy, development of individual contracts strategies, request for proposals, develop and effectively execute sound evaluation and award strategies, change management, contract management, develop claim prevention/mitigation program, and project close-out.

  • Performing senior level claim reviews, evaluations, negotiations and settlements.

  • Providing general and direct supervision to contracts management personnel assigned to the project.

  • Performing contracts management activities in accordance with general business acumen, corporate operating system requirements (OSR), and the established project and contracts management plans, policies, and procedures.

  • Overseeing and managing the contract management process on the project from pre-award, post-award through close-out in accordance with the project execution plan (PEP) and project procedures manual (PPM), including claims and back charges.

  • Supporting preparation of bid evaluation plans for large engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) request for proposal (RFP) packages and participate in both technical and commercial bid evaluation; assist project and engineering managers with preparing scope, schedule, and other technical documents for the RFP process.

  • Responsible for the quality of the Project RFP packages and contract documents.

  • Protecting the company’s and client’s interests by enforcing warranties, mitigating risk, and providing oversight to project contract management team.


Additional Duties May Include:



  • Providing support to the supply chain department by means of training, mentoring and coaching.

  • Providing proposal development support by way of preparing proposal write-ups, effort hour estimates and assist in strategic sales strategies supporting contracts management.

  • Formulating contracting strategy for individual contracts.

  • Performing resource survey and contract risk assessment, issue report of findings.

  • Developing master document.

  • Supporting, guiding, and implementing changes in systems, processes, and procedures.

  • Assessing resource needs; prepare manpower and indirect estimates; develop and manage budgets for individual contracts.

  • Reviewing and approving award recommendations from a commercial aspect.


You’ll Need To Have:



  • Experience managing E, C, EP, EPC, EPCM and CM contracts from negotiation though close out for large pharmaceutical or industrial projects.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of construction-related processes, as well as a thorough knowledge of industry practices.

  • Prior experience in other people management roles.

  • Leadership, team building and delegation abilities.

  • Superior analytical thinking and decision-making skills.

  • Ability to work on a deadline driven environment with multiple tasks required to be developed simultaneously.

  • Knowledge and ability to write and understand contracts language.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication.

  • Proven negotiation skills.


The estimated salary for this position is $125,000. Starting salary may vary based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as experience, skills and qualifications.
