What You'll Be Doing
- Develop/interpret written/verbal business requirements and technical specification documents and seek clarification as and where necessary.
- Perform software development to written technical specifications working within the companys quality processes.
- Create and maintain technical documentation using defined technical documentation templates & techniques.
- Maintain watching brief on development of new technologies, techniques and methodologies.
- Work closely and collaboratively with the Software Architect and other team members.
- Identify and correct reported defects in collaboration with the Software Test Team.
- Travel as individual projects necessitate (minimal).
- Bachelor's degree in electronics, physics, computer science or another relevant engineering related degree, or significant industry experience.
- Effective in analysing situations, solving problems and clarifying/summarising key issues.
- Strong interest in new technology.
- Minimum of 3 years hand-on experience of commercial C# .NET development within a busy team environment (strong C++/OOP developers will be considered and training provided to accelerate transition to C#).
- A strong knowledge of the Microsoft technology stack.
- Experience of software development using Microsoft Visual Studio & Azure DevOps Server.
- Good knowledge of the .NET framework (4.6 and later, .NET Core or .NET Standard).
- A full understanding of Object Oriented (OO) design.
