Senior IT Technician - #1639965

My client is seeking an experienced Senior IT Technician to join their team based out of their Manchester Office. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining the company's IT infrastructure. This includes overseeing hardware and software installations, troubleshooting technical issues, and ensuring the security and efficiency of their systems. This role will be a multi-functional role working across the Office Operation and Engineering Works Duties

• Administer their internal IT and Security infrastructure, including user/client support
• Provide 2nd and 3rd line technical support to their Engineering teams and customers.
• Lead IT projects, from inception to deployment.
• Continuous improvement of the client's IT infrastructure and its performance.
• Assist with website development and enhancements.
• Maintain their IT helpdesk and documentation.
• Support the pre-build of systems.
• Test and evaluate new products, systems and solutions.
• User administration of social accounts (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn)
• Assist with internal user administration.
• Assist with starter and leaver device setup.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networking systems
• Proficiency in troubleshooting technical issues

• Proficiency in managing cloud platforms (e.g., Office 365, SharePoint, hybrid) and virtualisation technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-X, etc ).
• Expertise in network administration, including firewalls, switches, and VPNs.
• Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems
