My Client:
My client is a leading organization focused on helping commercial and industrial energy users achieve their Net-Zero goals. They provide innovative energy solutions that drive the energy transition through technology and passion, and they are currently looking for a Business Development Associate to join their growing Sales team.
The Role:
The Business Development Associate will be responsible for developing new business prospects by conducting cold outreach to potential customers, while collaborating with Business Development Managers to meet sales goals. This is an exciting opportunity for a driven and motivated individual to work in a growing and impactful industry, offering a chance to make a real difference in helping organizations reduce their emissions and manage energy use.
What You’ll Do:
- Develop a strong understanding of the company’s advisory services and master pitching these offerings to prospective clients.
- Identify potential clients and create prospect lists of commercial and industrial energy users who could benefit from your client’s solutions.
- Initiate engagement with prospective customers through cold calling, social media, marketing follow-up, etc., to schedule initial meetings for Business Development Managers.
- Follow up with prospects throughout the sales cycle to ensure continued engagement.
- Gather necessary qualification information (such as energy bills, data, and letters of authorization) from potential customers.
- Execute specific outreach campaigns tailored to product, vertical, and geography.
- Master the company's products/solutions to effectively cross-sell and upsell.
- Provide stakeholders with relevant marketing materials to support outreach efforts.
Your Profile:
- 1-2 years of relevant sales experience in the energy sector.
- Multilingual skills (English is essential, and proficiency in a central European language, such as German, is preferred).
- Familiarity with Salesforce.com or a similar CRM platform.
- Proven success in presenting value propositions to clients.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Technical aptitude and a quick learner.
- Strong sense of initiative and motivation.
- Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Adaptability to handle deadline pressure, ambiguity, and change.
- Strong ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks independently.
