Affiliate Executive
Overview of role
The Affiliate Executive’s role is to assist the Account Manager in the day to day running of the client Affiliate programmes within the team. This includes supporting team members to complete day to day affiliate tasks as well as provide reports in a timely fashion as set out by the Affiliate Manager.
The role of an Affiliate Executive also requires running their own client accounts, where they will apply their learnings from the other accounts where they support more senior members of the team.
The skills required for this role are; strong attention to detail, organisation skills, proficient Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills, the ability to work to multiple deadlines, and communicate effectively with different members of the team. Relationship building is an essential part of the Affiliate Executive’s role, and the candidate will be expected to build relationships with 3rd parties via phone, email and face to face.
The Affiliate Assistant will be expected to have a basic understanding of the affiliate industry and will be given training across various disciplines of digital marketing as part of the role.

Business Responsibilities - Account Management
- Ensure the Senior Executive and Account Manager are informed on the status of their campaigns and any work completed in a timely and frequent manner.
- Liaising within their client team to suggest new approaches and tactics to continually improve campaign performance to suggest to clients and Client Planning teams.
- Completing campaign administration including sale validations and affiliate approvals as tasked by the Account Manager, ensuring it is completed following the EssenceMediacom best practice
- Regularly update clients around campaign performance and areas of focus for their accounts each week
- Reviewing spend performance against forecast budget and highlighting any budget discrepancies
- Support the Account Manager to provide all month end spend figures to the relevant individuals in line with agreed deadlines
- Creation of media plans against a client budget and negotiation of spend vs exposure packages to secure the best return on investment for clients
- Ability to manage own workload effectively and efficiently
- Working as part of a close-knit team and supporting other team members where required
- Building effective working relationships across the digital teams in the agency as a whole
